Even If ... He IS Still Good

So my next faith blog post is not scheduled to go up until early May. But, God has spoken straight to my heart and I just needed to share it with you today.

As I sit here writing, there are tears streaming down my face.  So much in my heart.  So much joy!  So much excitement!  Yet, hurt is there too.

And then – God winks.  He winks and shows me that he has this.  My hopes.  My hurts.  My heart.  Always has.  Always will.

Sometime over the past weekend, I jumped into my truck and drove off to do errands.  Now, if you jump into my truck, you will most often hear either K-Love or a country music station!  I love music of all types, but for sure these two are my faves!  Christian and Country.  I think I love that both tell such a real story.

So, in the truck, the song “Even If” comes on.  I knew immediately that it was from Mercy Me.  I have listened and loved enough of their songs to recognize it right away.  And then, there it was.  God’s wink.  Telling me – “Even If” things don’t go the way I had hoped or had planned, in every place, in every circumstance, God is still my hope.  He is still good.  He sees the little, tiny faith I often have and tells me it’s okay.   It’s okay.  He still loves me.  Always has.  Always will.

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 40:31 -

"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

So, today I wanted to just share that God is always good.  He is always able to do all that he chooses, but, “Even If” his plans don't match mine, match yours, our hope is in him alone.  In him.
